Applying Deep Learning to Enhance Momentum Trading Strategies in Stocks

We use an autoencoder composed of stacked restricted Boltzmann machines to extract features from the history of individual stock prices. Our model is able to discover an enhanced version of the momentum effect in stocks without extensive hand-engineering of input features and deliver an annualized return of 45.93% over the 1990-2009 test period versus 10.53% for basic momentum.

Stochastic model for market stocks with strong resistances

Abstract. We present several models to describe the stochastic evolution of stocks that show some strong resistance at some level and generalize to this situation the evolution based upon geometric Brownian motion. If volatility and drift are related in a certain way we show that our model can be integrated in an exact way. The related problem of how to prize general securities that pay dividen...

Dynamics of Market Liquidity of Tunisian Stocks:

This paper examines the dynamic behaviour of market liquidity on the Tunisian stock exchange (B.V.M.T.) using high frequency data from a reconstructed limit order book. The BVMT is an electronic pure order driven market that relies only on limit orders to supply liquidity, which may affect its viability and its resiliency. First, we apply a VAR model to stocks traded in continuous in order to e...
